Acceptable Solution Proposed to be Amended

Pursuant to section 29(2) of the Building Act 2004 (“Act”), I give notice of the proposed amendment to the following acceptable solution:

• G12 Water Supplies Acceptable Solution G12/AS1

The proposed changes include:

• Modifying the G12/AS1 Table 8B reference to AS 3498 Safety and public health requirements for plumbing products – Water heaters and hot-water storage tanks to exclude sub-clause 7.3.2.1(a) of this standard.

The consultation document for the amendment to the acceptable solution is available free of charge from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (“MBIE”) website: http://www.mbie.govt.nz/have-your-say/

The consultation document is also available from the Wellington office of MBIE at 15 Stout Street, Wellington, between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
