Pursuant to section 261B of the Local Government Act 2002, I, Paul James, Secretary for Local Government, give notice that the Non-Financial Performance Measures Rules 2024 were made on 16 July 2024.

The Rules will come into force on 21 August 2024.

The Non-Financial Performance Measures Rules 2024 provide a new Rule for water supply, amending performance measure 1 (safety of drinking water).

Copies of the Rules are available from the Department of Internal Affairs at www.dia.govt.nz, by email councils@dia.govt.nz, or at 45 Pipitea Street, Wellington 6011.

The Rules incorporate by reference the Drinking Water Quality Assurance Rules 2022.

These Quality Assurance Rules are available for inspection during working hours at the above address and are also available on the above website.
