Replacement of Notice for Prescribed Qualifications for General Osteopathic Scope of Practice Registered Osteopaths
This notice is given pursuant to section 12 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 (“Act”) and comes into effect on 30 April 2021.
The Osteopathic Council (“Council”) amends the notice titled “Notice of Scopes of Practice and Related Qualifications Prescribed by the Osteopathic Council” dated 31 January 2013 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 31 January 2013, No. 11, page 398.
The following amendments are made to the original notice:
Pursuant to section 12 of the Act, the Council has prescribed the following qualifications for registration in the General Osteopathic Scope of Practice:
The Osteopathic Council has accredited the Bachelor of Musculoskeletal Health and Post graduate Diploma in Osteopathy awarded by Ara Institute of Canterbury as a prescribed qualification for registration in the General Osteopathic Scope of Practice.
