Pursuant to sections 434(1) and (2) of the Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Act 1989, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint

John Andrew Walker, District Court Judge of Wellington

to be Principal Youth Court Judge for a term of eight years commencing on 12 July 2016.
